THEATRICAL PROGRAM
IFCTP „Zero gravity“ has no competetive character.
The Organizing Committee provides a prize in the amount of 1000 BGN for stimulating development, which is awarded by the team of experts.
In the program of NIATF „Zvezden prah“ there were selected theatrical plays by Bulgarian groups, and performances of theatrical groups from Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Serbia, Turkey, Latvia, Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Egypt, Georgia and France.
As the main festival intention is to search, highlight and present contemporary theater and performance. Overcoming the linguistic barriers and the contemporary cultural politics, searching for a change in social attitudes. One of the main goals is to support education and development within the festival. We emphasize on the mixed models of work in the modern theatre, conformable to the most contemporary, vanguard and provocative international theatrical practices. They are expressed in searching of the theatrical performance like a final product and we chose applying a new festival model – IFCTP „Zero gravity“.
ATTENDANT PROGRAM
The boundaries of the following program of cultural manifestations within the range of the festival are continously expanding, to build today its image as a place for productive cultural meetings and cultural exchange.
The participation in the manifestation of well known Bulgarian and foreign artists – paint artists, musical and dancing performers is traditional. The extraordinary program of the festival has been established by the participation of famous companies such as the dance group of Neshka Robeva, the „Arabesque“ ballet, „Vakali“ group, dance formation „Atom theatre“, jazz performers Michael Yossifoff, Boris Taslev, Hristo Yotsov, Nikolay Om, Bunny from Oratnitsa, the guitar player Plamen Petroff, Representative brass band of the National army, string quartet „Intro“, the opera singer Edelina Kantcheva, famous classical musicians, the paint artists Lyuben Dimanov, Lyudmil Georgiev, Deyan Valkov, Dimitar Petroff, Radoslav Neytchev, iconographer Dimo Dimchovski, the Norwegian author Trine-Lise Nedreas, the American photographer Brian Daily, the paint artists Yasen Zgurovski and Dimitar Genchev, the talents from „Artist“ Foundation, „United Avangard Artist“ studio, assocition „Silence“, the harp player Andjela Madjarova, Yana Doynova, Rozalina Kasabova, dance ensemble „Ornati“, Georgia, Militza Gladnishka, exhibition of works of art and video installations by professor Todor Dinov and many others.
ARTISTIC WORKSHOPS
Among the main components, which define the image of the festival is the rich setting of artistic workshops. The key aspects of the workshops aim to increase the potential of the artists, to gain further knowledge that will help them within their creative. Within the new festival model there will be one main artistic workshop with the goal to create a final production using the tools of contemporary dance theatre and performance. Its methodology includes the work of a team of experts – producer, choreographer, artists-schenographer and an audio-visual scene effects specialist. The performers will be chosen from the festival groups.
